-ill words (pill, kill, still etc.)
-ee words (been, street etc.)
tricky words (have, they)
Art
We read a story this week about trolls and pirates. We liked the story so much that we’re doing two pieces of art about it. We are learning how to draw figures so we put our new skills to good use and drew some strange pirates. We’re also designing our own pirate flags this week!
PE
The game this week is benchball. It’s a combination of basketball and handball. It’s a fun game because you have to score by getting the ball to your goalie! We’re practicing benchball every day this week.

Thank you for your continued support
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each and every parent and family member who has helped the school with the various fundraising projects since we started back in September. It is a credit to our community that in these times of need, we still demonstrate our generous nature. The jersey day raised much needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society and we had a fantastic response to Operation Christmas Child, with over 120 boxes collected.
